The Maui Oceanfront Marathon is community event benefiting local school teams, clubs, and Maui non-profit groups that help put on the Marathon.The course has many scenic pull outs and public beaches.The Marathon runs north from Wailea through Kihei and along some of the prettiest beaches in the world and ends in Old Lahaina Town.Run with 10,000 Haleakala Volcano and the green West Maui Mountains on your right side. Watch out for rainbows!! and January is the coolest and best running month in Hawaii.

hree Waves: 4AM, 4:40AM and the general start at 5AM

The Early Start begins at 4:00 a.m. and is for anyone who needs more time to finish the marathon before Noon. Carry your own water until the aid stations open. Provide your own transportation to the start. No age division or overall awards for the 4AM starters. 4AM starters will receive finishers medal, license plate, t-shirt and any other marathon goodies.

The Marathon Head Start is the 2nd Wave and is for 55+ year old marathoners at 4:40 a.m. This start is eligible for all age division awards, but not the overall awards using this start.

The Regular Marathon start is at 5AM.
Paid Parking at the Start line in the Shops of Wailea is available. Park where directed on the south side parking lot, away from the Shops. Then walk through the shopping center to the North side where the race will start. 59 minutes of free parking.

Go to the end of the Pi'ilani Highway, turn right down the hill, left at the light and quick right into the Shops at Wailea. If you buy someting in the Shops at Wailea after the race you will get another 3 hours free validation coupon. Ask for it.
Portable Toilets are at the Shops at Wailea.
The start line is in the north parking lot of The Shops.
