Balkaniada is a mountain running competition that will be held for the second year in a row at the Central Balkan National Park. The park is located in the heart of Bulgaria - in the highest and most picturesque part of the Balkans. The rich network of tourist routes makes the place one of the most visited for tourists, mountain runners, mountain bikers and lovers of outdoor sports. Every summer, hundreds of adventurers touch the iconic places in the Central Balkans, crossing the international tourist route E3 (Kom-Emine). Kiril Nikolov - Diesel is our most successful mountain runner and orienteer. In the midst of his sports career, he spent hours of hard training in the region of Karlovo, preparing for his most responsible starts. After running many kilometers on the difficult and challenging routes that the Balkans offer, Kiril came up with the idea to organize a competition that would pass through the most typical for the "Central Balkans" places, to be challenging, but at the same time invigorating from the incredible panoramic views. Together with Dimitar Zhelyazkov and XCoClub, Balkaniada will be held for the third year on 29.07.2023 with the competition center in Karlovo. Prepare well, because

In 2021, the first edition of "Balkaniada" was held in the town of Karlovo . The start and end of the competition was located in the city park just before the start of the hiking trails that go to the central ridge of the Balkans. The two tracks, 44 km and 25 km long, put the riders to a real test on the last day of July, which turned out to be a combination of sunny and hot weather passing through a strong thunderstorm accompanied by hail. The event was chosen to be part of the National Calendar of the Bulgarian Skyrunning Federation.

In the upcoming 2023, our team again plans to hold the "Balkaniada" in Karlovo, and the chosen date is July 29, 2023. The start of the competition will again be located in the city park opposite the factory of Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi, and in addition to the three distances 44km, 25 km and 10km.

Route 10 km / 595m D + - Start Karlovo - Hubavets hut - Finish Karlovo.

Route 25 km / 1600 m D + - Start Karlovo - Ravnets hut - Petolachka - Vasil Levski hut - Finish Karlovo.

Route 44 km / 2500m D + - Start Karlovo - Dobrila hut - Botev shelter - Petolachka - Vasil Levski hut - Finish Karlovo
