Experience the enchanting beauty of Limerick with our Marathon course, renowned for its scenic charm and flat terrain. The route takes you through the heart of the city, weaving along closed streets, and showcasing the iconic landmarks that make Limerick unique.

Starting in Pery Square at 9 am, runners embark on a journey through Limerick’s vibrant streets, tracing the banks of the majestic River Shannon, and venturing into the suburbs. A highlight of the course is the path through the University of Limerick, offering a scenic detour through its grounds and sports arena.

As you run, landmarks like Thomond Stadium and many others punctuate the route, creating a visually stunning experience. The city’s warm spirit is felt throughout, especially when passing through the cheering crowds that line the streets. The support is palpable, reflecting Limerick’s deep love for running and the camaraderie of its people.

The final stretch brings you back into the heart of the city, where O’Connell Street awaits with thousands of spectators cheering you on. The finish line on O’Connell Street is not just an endpoint; it’s a celebration of your journey, surrounded by the energetic vibe of the main street.

Iniziative per bambini e/o famiglie: Children’s Run for Fun 2024 – Limerick

Join us on a day of joy, laughter, and running in the heart of Limerick for our annual Children’s Run for Fun event! This year, we’re excited to invite families and young athletes to the University of Limerick on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, for an unforgettable experience of fun, fitness, and camaraderie.

Event Schedule:

11:00 AM – 4:30 PM: Race Pack Collection at UL Arena. If you haven’t received your race pack by the event day, please come to collect it at this time. Ensure you have your barcode ticket ready to help us quickly locate your order.

2:30 PM: Wheelchair Event on Track. We kick off the races with an inclusive event for our wheelchair participants.

3:00 PM: Junior & Senior Infants 1KM Route. The youngest runners take on a kilometer of fun and excitement.

3:45 PM: First, Second & Third Class 1.5 KM Route. School-aged children step up the challenge in this engaging race.

4:30 PM: Fourth, Fifth & Sixth Class 2 KM Route. Our oldest participants test their endurance in a 2-kilometer dash.
