L’ASD Polizia di Stato Palermo e il Sindacato Autonomo di Polizia SAP organizzano la 1a edizione della Mezza Maratona Memorial Day SAP, manifestazione di atletica leggera di corsa su strada sulla distanza di mezza maratona inserita nel calendario nazionale FIDAL (bronze label).
La manifestazione si svolgerà domenica 28 Maggio 2023, con riunione giuria e concorrenti alle ore 8.00 in Palermo via Mariano D’Amelio ma con partenza dal Giardino della Memoria di Isola delle Femmine (PA), da dove sarà data la partenza alle ore 09,30.
Durante l’evento sportivo saranno inseriti momenti religioso-commemorativi per ricordare le vittime di mafia e del terrorismo, per commemorare non solo i servitori dello Stato, ma anche giornalisti, politici, religiosi e semplici cittadini che hanno pagato il loro impegno profuso a favore della collettività con il sacrificio della propria vita.
Parte dei proventi che la società organizzatrice realizzerà attraverso le quote d’iscrizione alla manifestazione sportiva saranno devolute in beneficienza alla ONLUS “Associazione culturale Memorial Day SAP” che si attiverà con iniziative di sostegno sociale sul territorio palermitano.
