Si tratta di una delle corse su strada più antiche d’Italia, giunta alla 83^ edizione, organizzata in occasione del Santo Patrono di Firenze. La corsa si svolge in Notturna tradizionalmente con partenza e arrivo in Piazza S. Giovanni davanti al Sagrato del Duomo. La manifestazione è inserita nel calendario regionale della Federazione Italiana di Atletica Leggera come gara regionale su strada.
