About the event:
The Marathon starts at 06:30am from São João dos Angolares. The Half Marathon starts from Ribeira Afonso and 10Km from Santana.
We present the FIRST 100% SOLIDARY MARATHON in the center of the world, #SAOTOMEMARATHON
This project born to be able to self-finance the SOCIO-SPORTS PROJECTS that the Fundação Filhos de São Tomé and Príncipe has together with FUNDACIÓN REAL MADRID in São Tomé and Príncipe, and to promote, in partnership with the Santome an Athletics Federation and the Ministry of Sports, sports practice in the country.
Our goal is to increase each year the number of children who can participate in sports activities at their schools, thus giving them a leisure alternative where they can work on values that keep them away from alcohol, drugs, or early pregnancies, as well as develop the motivation to achieve dreams and goals.
Thanks to each one of the people who participate in the #saotomemarathon we will be able to expand more schools and projects across the country.
