Un percorso di 42 chilometri di lunghezza e 2.100 metri di dislivello positivo che parte da Vezzano sul Crostolo e attraversa il cuore dei territori matildici tra splendidi borghi e panorami, fino a toccare il Castello di Canossa e il Castello di Rossena, per poi far ritorno sul crinale della valle della Campola che domina la pianura padana.
Il percorso di media lunghezza del Canossa Trail si sviluppa per 24 chilometri e 1.150 metri di dislivello positivo. Si sale verso il Monte Grafagnana per poi proseguire verso i borghi matildici di Pedergnano e Signano. Giunti a Banzola si ridiscende verso la valle della Campola e da qui si risale verso la rupe di Canossa.
Il percorso più breve del Canossa Trail, con una lunghezza totale di 10 chilometri e 600 metri di dislivello positivo, si snoda lungo le pendici del Monte del Gesso, che domina Vezzano, e il Monte Grafagnana che si affaccia sulla valle della Campola.
