About the event:
Der SwissCityMarathon – Lucerne ist der Stadt Marathon in der Schweiz und findet immer am letzten Sonntag im Oktober statt. Die Strecke ist ein Rundkurs in der Länge eines Halbmarathons mit Start und Ziel beim Verkehrshaus der Schweiz.
Vom Start aus führt die Strecke entlang den traditionsreichen Luxushotels der Stadt und der Hofkirche. Mit Sicht auf die Kapellbrücke und den Wasserturm rennt man auf der anderen Seeseite vorbei am Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Luzern. Weiter geht es mit Blick auf das imposante Bergpanorama der Zentralschweiz entlang des Vierwaldstättersees um die Horwer Halbinsel. Anschliessend führt die Strecke durch das moderne Fussballstadion des FC Luzern, mitten durch das KKL Luzern und durch die malerische Luzerner Altstadt zum Ziel. Der nächste SwissCityMarathon – Lucerne findet am 27. Oktober 2024 statt. Es ist die 17. Austragung der beliebten Laufveranstaltung!
